This milestone acquisition secures our future in the neighborhood we've proudly served for decades, preserves a local landmark, increases our square footage and expands our ability to give back to the community.

Why We’re Moving

After renovations to our new home are complete, we plan to consolidate our two current Preston Avenue locations into a single, larger space—opening in early 2026. This move will allow us to:

  1. Improve the thrift shopping experience

  2. Increase our capacity for receiving donations, enabling us to accept and process more clothing, furniture, and household goods

  3. Expand our annual grant-giving in support of Charlottesville-area nonprofits serving seniors

  4. Preserve the historic character of the Preston Avenue corridor

  5. Continue our commitment to sustainability by extending the life of donated goods and reducing waste
