Twice Is Nice

Resale Boutique

TIN has been an essential part of the Charlottesville business community for four decades—bringing together sustainability, affordable resale shopping, and support for seniors in need.

Resell – Recycle – Reuse

Our model since the very beginning. The staff, board, and 140 volunteers are proud to find new homes for old stuff, keeping quality goods out of landfills while making them available to shoppers at affordable prices.

Our Impact

Our curated resale boutiques offer a unique local shopping experience that’s affordable and accessible to everyone. Proceeds from every sale are funneled directly back into the community each year through grants to local nonprofits that help seniors live safe, secure, and connected lives. None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our donors, volunteers, and shoppers.

“For years we searched for a new permanent home in the city center to replace our two leased premises and increase our grant-making capacity by eliminating rent payments and ensuring that we will remain a lasting presence in the community. As we prepare to relocate in early 2026 to our newly purchased location at the former Reid’s Super-Save Market at 600 Preston Avenue, we are excited by the enormous possibilities presented by consolidating our operations into one larger location. With our donors and our 140+ volunteers, this new home with its greater capacity will broaden the impact of our two-fold mission for years to come.

To facilitate this transition into our new permanent home, we are launching a capital campaign. With all of our board, staff, and volunteers, I am honored to help lead Twice Is Nice into this exciting new chapter of its 40-year history.”
